A rainy weekend..

Josh and I and his momma went to New York to see Madison for the weekend. We stayed at his Aunt Gloria's house like we always do whn we go up there. We had a lot of fun, except it was soo rainy most of the time. We went on walks in the country, saw horses in somone's front yard, went to the local store and for wagon rides. haha, there isn't much to do in the small town of Sherman, but seeing family and getting away for a few days is always fun and relaxing.  Sherman is such a small town, one school K-12, one park, one local market etc..i always pictured living in a small town, but i would prefer to live in the South, small town or not. As long as i have a cute house on some land for all my kiddos to play, and a front porch to have my coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise..i think i will be happy :):) I just love the small town feeling and i love the south. Here ae some pictures of our mini trip to see Madison :)

Now for tomorrow, Josh and I find out what the sex of our little one is! Please pray for our baby to be healthy and for Josh, a boy ;) hahaha. Thanks, and i'll update sooon :)

May 2nd

So a lot has happened since my last post..Josh and I got married :) April 23, 2011..We had a wonderful couple of days spending time with our families who traveled so far to support and congratulate us. We are so thankful for all the love around us and we're so blessed to share our lives together and to see where life takes us :) Our wedding day was chaotic, and rainy, but was truly special and I will never forget a minute of it! The fact that i ended up having to order a 3rd wedding dress 3 days before my wedding is laughable now, but it definately wasn't when my second dress didn't fit any more :) Being 4 1/2 months pregnant and trying to fit in a wedding dress is complicated, and a little/ a lot stressful. ANYWHO, everything came together and it was beautiful.

Josh and I go next thursday for our 18 week appt. we're supposed to find out the sex of the baby at 20 weeks, but im hoping we can do an early ultrasound just to see if we can tell yet. We are getting so excited, and my belly is getting bigger everyday. It's weird seeing my body change and having no control over it. Josh and I already have the names picked out.. Lilly for a girl, Levi for a boy:) I've already felt little movements from our little one, and it's such a precious thing.

Spring is finally here, and I cannot tell you how thankful I am for greenery, flowers blooming, lawn mowers, sunshine, rain fresh air and some warmth! I belong in the south, i want really warm and sunny days every day...but this is ohio. Josh and I have been walking downtown a lot trying out new coffee shops, diners, ice cream shops, bookstores etc. Its a pretty cute town and we enjoy it. :)

This blog was just to play catch up..i'll post some pictures of the baby bump, and some wedding photos next time.
--Have an awesome Monday :)

Day One

So this is my very first post. I want to keep family and friends updated on my pregnancy and life in general. && i've always wanted to try blogging. So Josh and I are expecting a little one..on October 4th. My bday is Oct 1st and his is Sept 28th, so we're making bets on who's birthday the baby will come! Josh wants a boy and I honestly don't have a preference because i want one of each at some point. We had our first ultrasound last week and confirmed that I am now, 10 weeks an 4 days. We also got to hear out little one's heartbeat. It was so surreal, we were so excited! He/she looked like a little snowman on the ultrasound pictures. Our families are soo excited! My sisters and brothers especially, it is their first time being an aunt or uncle..also my step mom and dads first grandchild out of 6 kids!
I never thought I would be the first one to have a baby!
Josh and I had been engaged for a few months and were planning a September wedding..well plans changed suprisingly:) We are now having a spring wedding, April 23rd. Either way, we are excited to be married and start a life together as a family:) We joke because our whole relationship we had plans and things we wanted to do..each time our plans would fall through and we would be suprised by something we weren't expecting! So we always say we're done planning and we're going to trust God and go with the flow! It's more fun that way i think:)
